Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born
August 26 the 26th of August, 2002. He is known as Lil Tecca. His single from
2019 "Ransom", was his first major hit. It reached the top spot at 4
on the Billboard Hot 100. The track was released on his debut mixtape We Love
You Tecca (2019) which peaked at the top of the pile at 4 on the US Billboard
200. The mixtape also contained the singles "Love Me", "Did It
Again" and "Did It Again". The album he released as his debut
studio album,"Virgo" (2020) it debuted at Number 10 on the Billboard
200. It also included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles
"Dolly" and "When You Down". The second mixtape "We
Love You Tecca 2", came out in August 2021. It featured "Repeat
It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is the child of
Jamaican immigrants. He was born on August 26 2002 in Queens, New York City. He
was raised in the Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens, but later
relocated to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe was a young man with ambitions
to become a basketball player, however he switched his focus to music when he
was 12. He was a student at Lawrence High School. When Tecca was nine years
old, he adapted to his passion for music by rapping along with his friends over
his mic on his Xbox. They would record diss tracks directed towards each other,
one of which was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but was removed. In the
early years of his life that he wasn't making any plans to pursue music a
profession and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA star. But, during middle
school, his interest in basketball faded and began to consider taking the music
seriously. His first song that became well-known, "Tectri", was
composed in collaboration with Lil Gummybear and released in the early part of
2017. Tecca also dropped "Callin" in the same year, which was one of
his first tracks. Tecca's career took off one year later after the success of
his single "Ransom", which was posted to Cole Bennett's Lyrical
Lemonade YouTube channel in May 22 the 22nd of May, 2019. The song reached
number 4 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. The song has had more than 90 million
Spotify plays and has more than 300 million YouTube views.
